For Clinicians
About
I earned my M.A. and Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University’s Graduate School of Education and Psychology and have been licensed as a clinical psychologist in California since 2000 (#16658). I also hold licensure in Arizona (#PSY-005992). Over more than twenty years of practice, my clinical focus has centered on trauma, PTSD, chronic illness and pain, and work with children, adolescents, and their families. I completed EMDR Levels I and II training in 1994, and EMDRIA certification is currently in process.
My early clinical training included work at City of Hope Medical Center providing psychological services to chronically ill children and their families — an experience that continues to inform my work with medical trauma and childhood illness survivorship. Before returning full-time to private practice, I served as Director of Continuing Education and Associate Professor at Hope International University, and as Coordinator of Clinical Training at Pacific Counseling Center, where I supervised MFT and doctoral students. I have also served on the boards of Project Hope Alliance and the Saint Andrews By the Sea Foundation.
